Hello y’all! My name is Julia Seeley, and I currently am a limited license professional counselor for the state of Michigan. I graduated with my Masters in mental health counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. I have experience with treating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, adjustment disorders/life transitions, confidence and self-esteem issues. I also can offer Christian faith-based counseling services as well if desired. I have served clients from teenage years to later adulthood, who come from varying socio-economic levels, environments, and belief backgrounds.

My therapeutic approach stems from human-centered, cognitive-behavioral, attachment, and existentialist theories. However, in the end, the therapeutic process and its techniques should be tailored to the client’s personality and needs, so I willingly adapt to each individual.

In each encounter, I see your rich worth and dignity, no matter what you bring into session. My counseling office offers a safe, sacred space for you to lay down your burdens, wounds, stories, mistakes, and struggles, in addition to celebrating your gifts, achievements, joys, passions, and skills. As a counselor, I provide compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard so that you can experience genuine care to feel truly seen and understood. Moreover, I am present to challenge and encourage you on this journey, whether that looks like motivational interviewing, removing irrational beliefs with CBT, psychoeducation, and/or digging up deep roots of painful events which hold you trapped. In the end, with your grit and perseverance, you can move to living more fully alive and free, rather than remaining stuck in your wounds and struggles.
