Hello, my name is Kaitlyn. I recognize the strength it takes to reach out and begin this process. I hope to help you on your journey through the ups and downs of life as we collaborate to find balance and healing in the ways that are most meaningful to you. I believe that empathy, validation, and authenticity are essential in helping individuals create meaningful change. Progress is rarely ever linear, but I believe each step in the right direction is a win worth celebrating. I have always been passionate about helping others, and I look forward to the opportunity to meet and support you.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint and my Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University. I also have prior experience in applied behavior analysis therapy and clinical coordination. These experiences have shaped my approach to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment for all individuals who walk through my door, regardless of race, ability, sexuality, religion, gender, class status, or life experience. My approaches are grounded in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques that are designed to help you shape your life into what you want it to be.
I have a special interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, but I am open to supporting any variety of experiences and mental health challenges that you may be facing. I would be honored to work alongside you in finding harmony amidst the chaos and helping you recognize your own strength and resilience along the way.
