Katelin is happiest when she is working with children and their families. Her background includes work with infants and their caregivers, elementary-aged students, and special education students (of all ages). She previously completed an internship as an elementary school social worker, where she worked closely with children experiencing severe emotional crises. She has also interned at a community mental health practice that specializes in infant mental health, and worked with clients who had experienced trauma, PTSD, and attachment-related disorders.
Katelin deeply believes in the power of collaboration and working with children and their caregivers to create securely attached relationships. She is adamant that there is no such thing as a “bad” kid, and that parents and caregivers are experts when it comes to their children. She is passionate about helping parents and caregivers succeed and giving them the tools they need to have nurturing relationships with their children.
She graduated from Wayne State University in 2025 with a Master of Social Work with a Dual Title in Infant Mental Health. She has a unique background that includes a BA in Theater, with a specialization in performance, from Wayne State University, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Lansing Community College, and experience running a community soup kitchen.
Katelin’s experience in the arts inspired her to start her own independent film company. She enjoys writing, directing, and producing and likes reading, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her cat (Walter) and her family and friends.
