Kelsey Slagle (she/her), LMSW
Ages Seen: 0 - 40
Treatment Focus: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Self-Esteem, Bi-Polar, Adjustment Disorders, EMDR
Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey Slagle. I recently gained my LMSW through the state of MI. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2020. I have a specialty in Mental Health and a passion for working with young children, adolescents, and their parents. I have experience as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Technician, a group therapist for all ages, working with children and adolescents who have survived sexual abuse, and, most recently, I was an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Specialist. I have had the opportunity to work with all ages, children, and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, children in the foster care system, children of adoption, young parents, new parents, and so much more. I am constantly training and honing my skills. I am currently working on my EMDR certification. I tend to use art therapy techniques, play therapy techniques, attachment theory, motivational interviewing techniques, CBT techniques, psychoeducation, parenting skill education, mindfulness, trauma processing, EMDR techniques, and more to establish rapport and build a beautiful working relationship with my persons served.
My goal as your therapist will be to work with you to uncover hidden truths in your own mind, help new parents tackle the ghosts in their young children's nurseries, help you trust your own decisions, teach you to create healthy boundaries (and hold them when it is difficult), and ultimately assist you in becoming a better version of yourself. In my graduate program, I was encouraged to create a motto for my own social work journey, and mine was "I may not change the world, but I may change someone's world.”
I accept clients ranging in age from 0-40. I hope that you will allow me to join your journey in creating a life that you are excited to live.
