Hi, I’m Lori. I help children, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, attachment challenges, trauma, depression, and emotional regulation feel more secure, supported, and understood.

I use a gentle, relationship-centered approach to help clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and navigate life’s transitions. I also work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen family connections and support each child’s unique growth. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe enough to heal, grow, and better understand themselves.

I believe every person’s experiences, identity, culture, and family system shape how they move through the world. I strive to provide care that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and affirming of LGBTQ+ identities. I deeply respect the different values, parenting styles, and lived experiences families bring into therapy, and I work collaboratively to support each client’s goals without judgment.

Supporting Children and Families

Many of the families I work with come to therapy feeling exhausted and unsure what to do next. Maybe your child struggles with separation anxiety, emotional outbursts, shutting down, overwhelming worries, or difficulty adjusting to transitions and expectations.

Children often need a space where they feel emotionally safe, understood, and gently supported while learning new ways to cope and connect. Therapy can help provide that space.

I take a child-centered and developmentally appropriate approach, allowing children to move at their own pace while building emotional awareness, regulation skills, confidence, and healthy attachment. Sessions are often creative and interactive to help children feel comfortable and engaged.

Supporting Teens and Young Adults

I also work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, life transitions, and attachment wounds. For many older adolescents and young adults, emotional struggles can show up through withdrawal, people-pleasing, conflict, perfectionism, overwhelm, or difficulty feeling connected to others.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore patterns, strengthen self-understanding, and build healthier ways of coping and relating. I strive to create an environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and accepted as they work toward healing and growth

My Approach

My work is grounded in attachment-based and trauma-informed care. I incorporate TF-CBT and DBT-informed practices to help clients better understand emotions, tolerate distress, and develop effective coping strategies. I also integrate mindfulness and grounding techniques inspired by EMDR, such as safe place visualization, container exercises, nurturing figure work, and calming body-based practices. Additionally, I draw from parts work and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed concepts to help clients better understand their inner experiences with compassion and curiosity.

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and supportive. Whether I am working with children, parents, teens, or young adults, my goal is to help clients feel empowered, confident and grow in authenticity. Together, we work toward greater emotional understanding, stronger relationships, and lasting tools for healing and resilience.
