Treatment Focus: Adjustment Disorders, Grief, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders
I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist since 2009. My approach to therapy is client centered and I consider myself eclectic. Establishing a good therapeutic relationship and mutual understanding regarding treatment goals are the building blocks of a successful treatment. Therefore, this will be my initial focus if you work with me. I would like to get to know you, the reason you are pursuing therapy, and what are your hopes and wishes. After we together understand what is/are the problem/s we can move forward and begin the therapeutic journey. My therapeutic approach depends on your needs and preferences, personality style, and your presenting problem. I have an extensive background practicing treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution focused therapy. I am also quite familiar with other therapy approaches, such as interpersonal psychotherapy, meaning centered psychotherapy, and existential psychotherapy. I have worked in medical settings, such as hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, and with people who have chronic medical problems. I have a broad range of clinical experience, working with people who have more persistent and severe conditions, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, as well as with people who experience transient difficulties due to life changes and transitions. I am passionate about my job and I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual I have worked with.
